* local candidates strongly preferred * interviews will be conducted IN PERSON *this position is ONSITE % of the time, NO exceptions *will likely be extended beyond //, probably for an additional - + months The VITA/GOVs office is seeking at contractor IT Support Specialist III to work on site for technology projects, Cisco phones, Cell Phones, Inventory tracking laptops/ Desktop support light networking. Must pass State police background check. The IT Support Specialist III will report into the IT Gov Office Manager and will directly be supporting Governor’s Office day to day activities Governor’s Office Technology Manager on these projects. This position provides services to maintain and support daily IT operations and the underlying technical infrastructure at Office of the Governor and Administration. This includes but is not limited to direct technical support for all IT related equipment owned and operated by the Administration Cabinet, their staff, Office of the Governor and Lieutenant Governor. This includes workstations, data network, voice network, server file management, vendor wireless hardware components, and network printers at multiple locations. This position will also assist the AITR for the Office of the Governor, act as TSR coordinator backup, support the agency owned hardware and software, oversee incidents and service requests, account administration, and perform any other responsibilities necessary to keep the administration and Commonwealth information systems running smoothly. Demonstrated ability to ability to interpret complex information and provide informed analyses .) Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management, customers, and vendors to resolve problems .)Requires excellent written and verbal skills as well as IT savvy to assist customers .) Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office suite - Ability to help setup enterprise Gov's Office calls and coordinate technical setup Required - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field Required - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing Required
