Server Analyst

Project Overview
Reporting to the Security Administration Team Lead within the Infrastructure Application Services of Infrastructure Operations, this contracted resource shall be responsible for day-to-day operations within the centralized Win 2008 Active Directory (ADS). This includes object creation and maintenance, maintenance of user access to network resources, file permissions and security, reporting, development and modifying of administrative guidelines and processes, etc. The Security Administration Team is responsible for the administration of Exchange 2010 email resources such as mailboxes, distribution groups, and related services. The resource may also be responsible to provide technical support and solutions for client’s data and resources. This includes providing training, support and overseeing other Security Administration Team members' activities, participation in ministry and internal projects, attend project meetings and work with the client and external technical teams. Delegation of administrative authority to ministries is done by this team.

NOTE: Some evening and weekend work may be required.

Description of Services
Deliverables may include some or all of the following, in accordance with service level agreements:
• Adhere to existing client established policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and practices.
• User account (ID) creations, maintenance and deletions for access to network resources.
• Maintenance of Exchange email resources such as mailboxes, distribution groups, Global Address List updates and related services.
• Implement and maintain user security and folder permissions.
• Provide adhoc reporting of same.
• Manage security group membership to provide access to files and folders for network applications and shared data.
• File and folder moves, restructuring and permission setting.
• Respond and resolve customer incidents/service requests pertaining to Domain and Exchange administration.
• Some project work as required.
• Development and modification of domain and exchange administration documentation, processes and guidelines.
• Assist in active directory clean up as necessary.
• Migration of ministry independent domains (user accounts, security groups and data) to the client domain using Quest Migration Manager tools.

Min Years of Experience

M2 - Minimum combined years of relevant education and experience in a role similar to this. Experience must be applicable to this role. Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates.

M3 - Experience using Win 2008 Active Directory to manage all objects for a large scale environment (over 1000 users).

M4 - Experience creating local and global security groups and applying permissions to access files, folders and resources on Win 2008 servers.

M5 - Experience using MS Exchange 2010 Administrator to manage email accounts, shared mailboxes, distribution lists, and public folders.

M6 - Experience with a problem tracking software and process work flow such as, BMC Remedy AR System.

M7 - A strong understanding of New Technology File System Permissions and best practices (must be demonstrated at interview).
