Technical Analyst

Project Summary:
The client requires this senior Technical Analyst position to migrate SharePoint 2010 sites to the current SharePoint 2016 platform. SharePoint 2010 is currently in the ‘Extended Support’ phase of the MS support life-cycle. All departmental SharePoint sites need to be upgraded to SharePoint 2016 (SP 2016) prior to the end of the MS Extended Support date of October 2020.
The resource will also collaborate with Information Management to ensure the records management models for SharePoint file storage are aligned with records management best practices.
In addition to the SharePoint Migration project, this position will provide technical support for transitioning the current MyAgent website landing page and contents to an ERP solution. The position will also be responsible for contributing to the technical solutions for client business processes related to the new ERP solution.

Description of Services
• Migrate GS SharePoint 2010 production and UAT sites and sub-sites to SharePoint 2016 using Sharegate tool.
• Schedule, organize and lead consultations and facilitate stakeholder meetings.
• Provide recommendations, technical expertise and advice on SharePoint migration processes.
• Produce and analyze pre-migration reports; assist business areas with resolving issues in UAT environments.
• Flexibility to work outside regular business hours to complete migrations with minimal impact to business operations.
• Escalate unresolved issues/risks, options and recommendations.
• Provide support by bridging communication between vendors, client ministries, and corporate technical and business teams.
• Promote SharePoint Best Practices and follow guidelines for security, records and information management.
• Create SharePoint 2016 support documentation.
• SharePoint 2016 presentations/workshops for team and business areas, as required.
• Provide technical support and SharePoint expertise for transition to ERP 1GX solution.

M2: Advanced knowledge and experience in managing and upgrading SharePoint 2010 to 2013 or 2016 for an organization of equivalent size and complexity to the client within the last 6 years.

M3: Experience using SharePoint Designer to customize SharePoint sites, pages and master pages and build workflows.

M4: Experience in facilitating and managing business process development and process re-engineering workshops and sessions.

M5 - Knowledge and proven working experience in using ShareGate v8 to v11 for SharePoint migrations

M6: Experience in developing integrated system and technical design specifications on complex engagements.

M7: Experience in IT infrastructure architecture and the relationships among the components that make up an IT service — from end-user devices to servers, networks, storage, applications and data.
