Application Development ‐ Software Tester

Role Profile: Reporting the System Implementation Manager, Software and Process Tester is responsible

for the testing and quality assurance of the COTS solution, including integrations, both in production and

in development.

Key Job Duties:

 Test any newly developed and modified record types and/or functionality to ensure adherence

to the defined purpose, consistency of workflow, and compliance to requirements, standards

and guidelines

 Translate functional requirements, session notes, gap analysis and requirements into

documented test plans, cases, and steps

 Thoroughly plan, write, document, and execute test scripts

 Perform unit and regression testing and document results for functionality developed by the

vendor and/or by Arlington technical team and work with the team to seek resolutions

 Perform testing for all software upgrades and patches performed by the vendor

 Document issues and workarounds within the vendor established timeframes and reporting

guidelines

 Manage and execute test plans and conduct functional and exploratory testing when necessary

and play a key role in user acceptance testing and in developer‐led testing sessions with system

users

 Deliver on promised dates and timeframes while following the documented business processes

 Communicate effectively with all stakeholders

 Identify issues, risks, and dependencies and escalate appropriately

 Support technical implementation and training activities as needed
