Installs telephone sets, including wiring and labeling, so that dial tone and features on sets work properly and agency schedules are met; installs network equipment including, but not limited to, modems, routers, hubs, switches, DSUs/CSUs and wiring to include testing so that agency requirements are satisfied and projects are completed; maintains, troubleshoots, relocates, removes, and tests voice and data equipment, wiring, and cables so that availability of service is maintained at required levels; works scheduled work orders so that services are provided in agreement with pre-assigned due dates and completed on time, unscheduled trouble tickets worked promptly to restore service in a timely manner, works duties and other tasks assigned by supervisor; provides information on service orders, cut sheets, and inventory records so that records can be posted accurately, work orders may be tracked and closed, communicates with other staff and Technicians, cleans wire closets (IDFs), cleans voice and data equipment that has been removed and restocks equipment and telecommunications hardware to assigned locations in the warehouse; and provides and promotes customer service to all departmental users such that customers are satisfied with the level and timeliness of support for service, problems are addressed in a timely manner and the best needs of the customer are met, with consistent progress toward increased customer satisfaction, measured through DOC customer survey responses. Employee will be required to track, update, manage and complete tasks utilizing our helpdesk system and possess the ability to utilize various management, collaboration -Employee will have to travel to Inmate Facilities throughout the state of Alabama. Employee will be exposed and in contact with male and female inmates at the facilities while performing various tasks and responsibilities. -Employee will be operating a State Owned Vehicle. If your insurance does not allow for this, please do not submit to this requisition. -Daily Per Diem has been worked into the bill rate. 12.75/a day x 5 days a week. Please ensure all recruited candidates are aware there will NOT be additional payments for travel days as it as been worked into the bill rate. No overnight travel. If reachable sooner, it could convert sooner than the 1 year. -Merit salary range is starts at $31,468.80 annually plus State benefits. Would try to bring someone in in the mid thirties. MUST be willing to convert at this rate.
